What does “Triple P” mean?
Triple P stands for “Positive Parenting Practices”. A positive parenting practice is a way of raising children that leads to a distinct improvement in their behaviour.
What does Triple P consist of?
Triple P is a series of activities designed to provide you with effective tools to help improve your relationship with your child. These tools will make your task easier and help you get more enjoyment out of being a parent. You’ll be invited to choose, among a wide range of “positive parenting practices,” those that best suit you. You’ll find that your children’s behaviour will improve and that relations within the family will become more harmonious.
Because every family is unique!
You can choose the option that best meets your needs and preferences:
• Attend a seminar
• Benefit from parent coaching sessions
• Take a course on parenting
Triple P in Quebec
Since January 2015, Triple P activities have been provided in some neighbourhoods in Quebec City.
This pilot-project could lead to Triple P activities being offered in other areas.
For the time being, Triple P activities are reserved for residents of the National Capital region and some Montreal neighbourhoods.
In each neighbourhood, several organizations have come together to provide Triple P activities.
They are part of the following networks:
- Day care
- Health and social services
